The Chest Disease Hospital in Rajshahi, formerly known as the TB Hospital, was established in 1966 with a capacity of 100 beds. In 1998, it was renamed and expanded to a 150-bed specialized facility dedicated to the treatment of chest diseases. Located in the Laxmipur area of Rajshahi City, near the paramedical institute within Rajpara Thana, the hospital offers both outpatient and inpatient services. Outpatient services operate from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, after which emergency services are available for admitted patients. The hospital provides free diet, tuberculosis (TB) drugs, and other necessary medications to patients. Additionally, a high-power digital X-ray machine (1000 mm) has been installed to aid in the diagnosis of TB and other respiratory conditions.

In 2008, the hospital established the Regional Tuberculosis Reference Laboratory (RTRL) to diagnose multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB). This laboratory performs sputum culture and drug susceptibility testing. In 2013, a GeneXpert machine was introduced, enabling rapid diagnosis of MDR-TB within two hours. The hospital treats MDR-TB patients from the Rajshahi Division with a nine-month regimen provided free of cost.
